The Chelsea Flower Show & Sweets Galore

My first impression of England consisted of elaborate floral displays, fabulous shops, and the scent of roses. This is no surprise considering the Chelsea Flower Show is renowned for its atmosphere. We set off for the show straight from the airport as the day we arrived was the last day of the show. Despite being a bit jet-lagged, we didn’t want to miss seeing the stunning garden designs and gorgeous floral displays. (Watch the highlights from the 2022 show here.) The Chelsea Garden Show is held by the Royal Horticultural Society for five days in May since 1912 and is held on the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea. The show is attended by members of the British Royal Family, and Queen Elizabeth herself visited this year! It is an event that draws a truly global crowd and is the “haute-couture” of the international gardening scene. It is definitely worth planning your trip to London to correspond with this show if you are interested in seeing cutting-edge garden design.

The Chelsea Flower Show

Peggy Porschen

Peggy Porschen is a must-see restaurant in Chelsea. After an eventful trip, we stopped in Chelsea once again on our last day for a bite to eat. The spongecakes with all the different frostings and decor made me feel like I was on an episode of the Great British Baking Show! (If you are interested in watching it, here’s the trailer for collection 10.)
