◎ Losing Track of Time ◎
Sometimes it feels as if time is nonexistent, and you forget what day of the week it is. This was definitely the case over Winter Break. Breakfast turns into lunch, and pajamas turn into clothes, especially when the PJ pants happen to have French Bulldogs on them!😍 Not only did I attempt to make lounging into an art form, but I also binge-watched Stranger Things! I was in the Upside-Down and didn't want to be sucked back into the reality of school. One of the best things about 7th grade is the people I have met so far. I have gotten to know so many amazing people, like my friend Elle who likes pancakes and shopping just as much as I do! It was fun to go back to school to all new 2nd semester classes, though. It was kind of like the year was starting over in a way. Some things I am looking forward to in this coming semester are my school musical, Aladdin, and Spring Break. Over Spring Break, my dance troupe is going to perform at Disney World! I know things are going to get busy again, and I wouldn't want it any other way, but I did enjoy having some down time over Winter Break, the snow day, and four day weekend.
Lately I have been drawn to nonfiction books, some serious and some not so serious. The Little Book of Life Hacks has got to be one of my favorites. It is an illustrated book with 199 pages of pure advice on how to make your life happier, healthier, and more beautiful. It has tips on everything from "9 Surprising Uses for Nutella" to "Tips for Decoding Body Language." I think I am actually going to try a Nutella dessert pizza! Also, now I know how decode eye contact, facial expressions, and other body language signals.😏 In the section on how to "Attract Magic into Your Life," the book tells you how to make a vision board, so you can manifest your dreams. Anything to do with attracting magic, count me in! Whether I am keeping track of time or losing track of time, I want it to be time well spent.
